Directly operated by Yeoju City, the municipal art museum opened its doors to the public on November 15, 2019, to showcase underrepresented artists based in and inspired by Yeoju, expand the opportunities for visitors to explore diverse aspects of art through exhibitions and education and hands-on experience programs, and bring art closer to people.

the municipal art museum will remain dedicated to its mission by offering exhibition spaces for local artists and making contemporary art easily accessible for local residents and audiences. It will drive the continued progress of contemporary art by showcasing different genres and works through a consilience-based approach and thus engaging a wider range of artists and viewers.
